Lady Emerald Knights Storm Back to Beat MECS 12-6; Face Brookfield & Madison in Saturday Tournament

Hamilton's softball team played their fourth game in five days Friday,
staging a strong finish to win 12-6 at Morrisville-Eaton. The win improves
their record to 12-3 overall and 5-3 in league play.
The Lady Emerald Knights were down 6-3 going into the fourth inning.
Coach Bill Dowsland said his team fought their way back and finished up
with a solid victory.
Having pitched four times with only one day's rest, Hamilton's Samantha
Martin gave up 10 hits to Morrisville-Eaton. She posted only two walks
and negated those with two strikeouts.
Junior Kylie Martin was Hamilton's leading hitter Friday, She went three
for four including a triple.
Seniors Liz Unger went two for five and Mallory Carhart was two for
four. Both had a pair of RBI, as did Sara Whyatt.
Coral Dowsland, Caylin Fisher and Martin each contributed an RBI.
On Saturday, Hamilton is host to the annual Sports Booster's
tournament. The Lady Knights face Brookfield at 9 a.m. and Madison at
11 a.m. Madison and Brookfield face off at 1 p.m.
