Roborts Honored
At Keuka College
Kyle A. Roberts was recently presented
with the Margaret Davenport Springer
Memorial Prize in English at the annual
Kueka College Honors Convocation.
This award is presented to the senior
student demonstrating academic
excellence and achievement, as well as
exceptional individual talent. Roberts was
selected as the author of the best original
works of fiction.
While at Keuka, Roberts was solely
responsible for the formation of the On
Campus Literary Guild, where aspiring
student writers meet regularly to share
their poems, short stories and various
other compositions. In this capacity, he
has been fortunate enough to meet
several authors and poets who have
lectured at the university.
Roberts, a graduate of Hamilton Central
School and the son of Frank and Penny
Roberts of Hubbardsville, is an English
major with a concentration in creative
writing. Upon graduation, Kyle plans on
pursuing a career in publishing.
