Public Hearing on Budget

The Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on the proposed 2012-2013 budget tonight at 7 p.m. at the court house. The proposed general fund expenditures total $3,083,486. There is a 3 percent increase in the tax levy. The tax rate per $1,000 is $10.72, a decrease of 16 percent from the current budget, according to Treasurer Mary Ann Henderson.
