Gilbert & Sulklivban Auditions Set

Director Rob Kolb holds auditions for Gilbert & Sullivan's "Patience” at the Earlville Opera House in August. Those auditioning should bring something to sing, ideally from a Gilbert & Sullivan. Auditions will be held at the EOH at 4:30 p.m. June 3.

Mezzo-soprano Elizabeth Bouk performs music of Gershwin, Porter & Weill with pianist Dianne McDowell on Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Barge. The performance is free and open to the public. Bouck recently appeared in Syracuse Opera's La Traviata as Flora and in The Society for New Music's Eleanor.

If you missed the recent roll-out party for the new Treasures in the Heart of New York CD at the Barge, you have another chance Friday. Sean Nevison, who created the collection of local musicians playing in support of the Hamilton Food Cupboard, will be on hand at the Colgate Inn beginning at 7 p.m. He will be joined by two bands, bands Williams Road and Son Bully. Good Nature Brewery is on hand and donating proceeds from the sale of the first keg to the food cupboard.
