Writer/Producer/Actor Stephen Hale @ Hamilton Theater Wednesday

He has been Steve on Showtime's Californication and Dean on CBS's 11th Hour. And, on Fox's Mad TV he was, yes, Boob Grabber.

But, now Stephen Hale, is gaining attention as Fischer in the new independent comedy, One Too Many Mornings, a Sundance Film Festival entry that he produced, co-wrote and stars in. It is in that capacity that Hale, a nephew of Colgate Finance VP Dave Hale, will be in Hamilton Wednesday.

Hale will be at the Hamilton Theater for a special screening of One Two Many Mornings -- a truly independent film -- at 7 p.m.

Several Internet sources call One Too Many Mornings, a "coming of age film" about two men who are far too old to be coming of age at their ages. Hale's character, Fischer, lives in a church rent free for turning the lights off and lockign the door. And, this is how Hale truly lives.

One of the most interesting aspects of the production is the unconventional way it is being marketing. Hale and his co-producers went into it not expecting a deal for theatrical release. Instead, they employed some guerilla marketing techniques that some musicians have embraced: selling direct to customers on the Internet, And, they are not just selling copies of the DVD, but also as a download. And, they are selling peices of the movie set.
