What About Bear?: Children's Author Shares Tale of Friendship

Children’s author and illustrator Suzanne Bloom will present a special program for pre-schoolers featuring her new picture book What About Bear? The event will be held on Monday, May 3 at 10 a.m. at the Colgate Bookstore.

The program is free and open to children of all ages, but is most appropriate for the pre-school set.

Copies of this title, and Suzanne Bloom’s other books, will be available for purchase and signing.

What About Bear? is the latest offering in a gentle series about two good friends, Bear and Goose. During playtime, Little Fox joins Goose and Bear in the fun, but soon someone gets left out. Can the friendship be fixed? The dilemma of choosing one friend over another is one of childhood’s classic problems. Goose and Bear show Fox that including friends is more fun than excluding them.

Bloom is also the author and illustrator of A Splendid Friend, Indeed, selected as a Theodor Seuss Geisel Honor Book by the American Library Association. She is the author of numerous other books, including the acclaimed A Bus for Us. She has also illustrated books by Eve Bunting and Pat Brisson. Suzanne lives with her family in McDonough.
