Schutt & Graber Tops in HCS Class of 2010

If you saw the two HCS student theater productions this year then you are familiar with the work of the Class of 2010's valedictorian and salutatorian.

The valedictorian was Elwood P. Dowd in Harvey and portrayed the mysterious man and narrator in the Masquers' production of the musical Into the Woods this spring. That's David Schutt.

This year's salutatorian was Myrtle Mae Simmons in Harvey and was cast as the witch in Into the Woods. That's Alana Graber.

Schutt is the son of Amy and Robert Schutt. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, Community Students Program, Jazz Band, Mathletics, and Masquers. He has been a class officer and was a counselor for two years at Eastern United Music Camp. He is also a member of the cross country and tennis teams.

Schutt will attend Earlham College in Richmond, IN in the fall and is considering majoring in political science.

Graber, daughter of Marilyn and William Graber, is a member of the National Honor Society, Yearbook Staff, Masquers, Thespian Society, French Club, and Advocates.  She participated in the Syracuse Symphony Youth Orchestra, AFS exchange in France during her junior year, and is involved in community theater.

Graber plans on attending the University at Buffalo in the fall for a Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theater.
