Hamilton Area Voters Go to Polls Tuesday

Residents of the Greater Hamilton Metroplex will join others in going to the polls Tuesday to vote in midterm elections.

On Tuesday, area voters and those around the state and across the country will go to polls to vote in mid-term elections.

Polls open at 6 a.m. and stay open until 9 p.m. Local polling places include:

  • Hamilton Public Library Community Room;
  • Village Clerk's office in Earlville;
  • Poolville Community Center.

Here is a sample ballot for Hamilton voters.

There is one local race and one county-wide race, both uncontested.

There are also contested and contentious races for the 23rd Congressional District, the 49th State Senate District and the 11th Assembly District. Hamilton is part of each of those districts.

We will also vote for two U.S. senators, governor, attorney general and comptroller.

Also On Election Day

The Hamilton Lions Club is hosting a pay what you want spaghetti supper on Tuesday, election night at the Park United Methodist Church from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. 

Take out will be available.  Dinner includes spaghetti with meatballs or sausage, bread, salad, drinks and dessert.

All proceeds go to the Lions Club for the benefit of the Hamilton community.

The Hamilton Public Libray will hold a bake sale on Election Day. A variety of baked goods will be for sale at the library from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Proceeds benefit the library.
