Gas Exploration Forum Topic Thursday

The Hamilton Forum will host a discussion of the issues surrounding the exploration, drilling and transportation of natural gas in southeastern Madison County. Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the Green Room of the Colgate Inn.

The Hamilton Forum will host a discussion of the issues surrounding the exploration, drilling and transportation of natural gas in southeastern Madison County. Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the Green Room of the Colgate Inn.  

Coffee will be served at no cost.  

The presenters are Colgate's Dr. Bruce Selleck and Town of Lebanon Supervisor James Goldstein. Half the time is reserved for questions and comments from the audience that will be addressed by the panelists. 

Selleck is the H.O. Whitnall Professor of Geology and Director of the Picker Institute for Interdisciplinary Science at Colgate University.  As a member of the planning board of the Town of Lebanon he deals with issues raised by over 60 producing gas wells.  

Goldstein is the most experienced local official on natural gas issues in Madison County, he calls for more effective regulation of a locally abundant new source of energy.
