Bikes & Boards Leaves Downtown

Scott Truett, frustrated by continuing parking problems in the village, is moving his business, Adventure Bikes & Boards, out of the village next week.

An email circulated by Truett today said the shop will open April 1 on 12B North in the former Hamilton Lumber (Joerger's) building opposite Vantine's. The building is located in the Town of Madison.

The email says:

"Seeing how we get almost no support on our parking concerns, with other shop owners and students still parking all day and no tickets being issued (except to me!) I've decided to stop complaining and just move to a place where I have a (parking) lot.

"Not so happy about it, but I've begged, pleaded, participated in the process and tried to bring together our merchants to champion our causes ... oh well.

"We will open on April 1st across from Vantine Studios with lots of colorful free-flowing banners flying and plenty of parking."
