RFH 2010, HCS Baseball

Baseball, Softball Games Interrupted

Wed, Apr 07, 2010

The thunderstorms that moved through Hamilton late Tuesday afternoon most likey took two "W"s from the records of the HCS baseball and softball teams.

Joe LePgage's baseball team was winning 7-1 in the fourth inning against Stockbridge Valey when the foul weather stopped play.

On the softball field, the Lady Emerald Knights were beating Cincinnatus 27-0 -- that is not a typo -- in the second inning -- and neither is that -- when lightning flashed and the game was stopped.

Both teams are back in action Thusday at home vs. Oriskany. They both host Sherburne-Earville at 11 a.m. Saturday.

(Lucas Rhyde's uniform is proof that things got messy Tuesday.)
