Amy Dickison, advice columnist, game show panelist and author of a best selling memoir comes to the Colgate Bookstore next month.

A Queen Comes to Hamilton

She is a one-woman media conglomerate.

Amy Dickinson is this generation's Ann Landers with her advice column for The Chicago Tribune syndicated in more than 200 newspapers. She is a panelist on NPR's oddly informative game show, "Wait, Wait! Don't Tell Me." A guest on various TV talk shows and the author of the best selling book, The Mighty Queens of Freevillle.

And, yes, it is that Freeville, the one just west of here not far from Dryden, Groton or Ithaca, if you need a morre visible reference point.

On Monday, May 17 at 7 p.m. Dickinson -- the woman behind the Ask Amy advice column -- will read from her work and discusss her writing at the Colgate Bookstore.

A graduate of Georgetown University, Dickincon divides her time between Chicago and Freeville.
