Big Second Inning
Powers Hamilton
Win at R. Springs
A normal high school baseball game lasts
seven innings, but Hamilton could have
gotten by on two Wednesday night. The
Emerald Knights exploded for seven runs in
the second inning to defeat Richfield Springs
9-1.
Aside from big offense in the second frame,
Hamilton benefited from yet another strong
showing by their ace Tyler White. He threw
six innings, striking out four.
White had some help. Coach Joe LePage said
the Knights were strong in the field, and
while Richfield Springs hit the ball, his squad
made plays. Hamilton gave up no extra bases
Wednesday.
Kinnon Nolan-Finkel started off the monster
second inning with a lead off double. Other
Emerald Knights followed suit, running up
seven runs on thjree more hits and making
the most of Richfield errors.
White yielded the mound to Jack Sullivan in
the final frame. Sullivan ended things strongly
with a pair of strikeouts.
Next: Otselic Valley at home Friday.
